W. Jakarta Opens Health Service Innovation Assessment

West Jakarta Acting Mayor, M Zen is opening the assessment of productivity and innovation in health. It is an annual routine activity and aims to improve the quality of health services to residents.

Every innovation must be implemented thus residents can feel an improvement in health services

It is hoped that medical personnel serving in sub-district puskesmas and hospitals could create innovations in a bid to improve services and prevent disease.

"Every innovation must be implemented thus residents can feel an improvement in health services," he stated.

It is held gradually from the municipal, provincial to national levels.

"I hope the service can get achievements at the national level," he expressed.

West Jakarta Health Sub-dept. Head, Weningtyas Rini Purnomo added that participants who take part in this activity are coming from 16 quality control groups of sub-district's puskesmas and four hospitals. Topics of innovation taken are about bullying, nutrition, infectious diseases and reproductive health.

"The achievement of the quality control group from West Jakarta that has reached the national scale last year is four platinum, nine gold and one silver. Then the Palmerah Puskesmas wins the best presentation predicate," he stated.
