Water Channel in Palmeriam Cleaned

Around 500 joint personnel are holding a communal work in RT 09/03, Palmeriam Urban Village, Matraman, East Jakarta. It is focused on a water channel on Jalan Penegak and garbage in the citizen residential.

I also urge and hope locals here always pay attention and care for their environment

Those personnel are sent from urban village, sub-district, Satpol PP, Water Resources Sub-dept., Bina Marga Sub-dept., army/police, PPSU and other related units.

Sidewalk Along Jalan MH Thamrin Cleaned

East Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar stated that communal work is held to stimulate and motivate citizens to always maintain the cleanliness. The main target is the connecting channel that experiences siltation and lots of mud.

"I also urge and hope locals here always pay attention and care for their environment. Without concern and people participation, the government can't monitor the area," he expressed, Sunday (9/2).

According to him, the duty of the government is to monitor, empower the community, invite and educate them about clean and healthy behavior.

This activity is also to keep the environment clean and its citizens healthy, avoid various types of diseases.
