Asian Environmental Community Representatives Impressed with Satu Hati BSI Program

Representatives from environmental communities in 10 Asian countries are impressed with 'Ayo Menabung dengan Sampah' program conducted by Satu Hati Central Waste Bank (BSI) at Kompleks Kebersihan Bambu Larangan, Cengkareng, West Jakarta.

10 Asian countries representatives from environmental communities that came from Vietnam, Hong Kong, Cambodia, India, Philippine, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia, Laos and Myanmar had a chance to visit Satu Hati BSI.

West Jakarta Environment (LH) Sub-dept. Head, Edi Mulyanto said, waste management in several Asian countries are done by private sides without any contribution from local communities.

"When we explain about 'Ayo Menabung dengan Sampah' program that involving residents in its application, they seem very interested," he mentioned, Thursday (9/13).

During their visit to Satu Hati BSI, he explained, some representatives are interested to apply the same program in their countries.

"We are ready if they want us to be their interviewees for 'Ayo Menabung dengan Sampah' program concept and its application," he conveyed.
