S. Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-dept. Builds Sidewalks in Five Locations

This year, South Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-dept. builds sidewalks in five locations of five sub-districts in South Jakarta.

It is targeted to complete by November

South Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-dept.'s Planning Section Head, Rifki Rismal said, Rp 30 billion budget ceiling will be used to build sidewalk in order to make it friendlier towards people with disability. Total length of those five sidewalks is around five kilometers.

"It is located on Jalan Wijaya hingga until Jalan Joko Sutono (Kebayoran Baru), Jalan Wijaya Kusuma (Cilandak), Jalan Lenteng Agung (Jagakarsa), Jalan Tebet Utara I (Tebet), Jalan Warung Jati Barat (Pasar Minggu),” he mentioned, Monday (9/17).

Johar Baru Sidewalks Repaired

He explained, manhole or utility box will be constructed to replace manhole's cover which is formerly made from concrete into fiber, then installs plant pots, creates footing for street light (PJU)'s pole, creates channel, and installs directional floor tiles.

Not only accessible for people with disability, this sidewalk will also provide a small park from cooperation between Bina Marga Sub-dept. and Forestry Sub-dept.

"Its construction will be done through e-catalog by choosing the third party and it is targeted to complete by November," he informed.
