North Jakarta Bina Marga Sub-dept. is constructing disability-friendly sidewalks on four streets. It is targeted to be completed by mid-October.

Libertus Sagala, Section Head of Road Infrastructure Completeness and Utility Network stated that sidewalk construction is divided into two zones and worked on since mid-June.
Council Supports Intensiveness of Disability-Friendly Facilities in Jakarta"In the eastern zone, the construction is carried out on Jalan Perintis Kemerdekaan and Plumpang Semper. In the west zone, it is done on Jalan Danau Sunter Barat and Utara," he expressed, Saturday (9/29).
The sidewalks built in these two zones have five kilometers length with two up to four meters width.
"The sidewalk itself is completed by markers direction tiles, park benches and bolard. The concrete thickness is about 10 centimeters is equipped with a waterway," he said.
