Anies Releases Asian Para Games Torch Relay in Jakarta

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan welcomed Asian Para Games torch relay team at City Hall's Pendopo, Jl. Medan Merdeka Selatan, Central Jakarta, Sunday (9/30) morning.

Hopefully, Asian Para Games could also be conducted well

He conveyed his gratitude and welcomed Asian Para Games preparation and implementation since torch has arrived in Jakarta.

"Thanks to God, last month Asian Games event has went well. Hopefully, Asian Para Games can also be conducted well," he said after carrying the Asian Para Games torch.

He invites all Jakartans to watch Asian Para Games matches directly on the venues. Because it can be a moment to foster our awareness by giving equal opportunities to people with disability.

"Asian Para Games is not only about sport competition. It is the moment that reminds us to facilitate people with disability," he mentioned.

In this chance, Anies brought Asian Para Games torch out of City Hall and handed it over to paralympic swimming athlete, Dicky Syahputra.

Then, the torch will be carried to go through Jalan MH Thamrin to Bunderan HI via Jalan Imam Bonjol – Jalan HOS Cokroaminoto – Jalan HR Rasuna Said (Kuningan) – Jalan Casablanca – Jalan Dr Saharjo – Jalan Prof Dr Soepomo – Patung Pancoran – Jalan Gatot Subroto – Semanggi – DPR/MPR Kompleks Parlemen (Jl Gatot Subroto) and it will be ended at Youth and Sport Ministry Building on Jalan Gerbang Pemuda.
