36 pump machines with a capacity of 75-250 liters per second have been prepared to face the forthcoming rainy season in East Jakarta.

Of 36 pumps, 22 out of them are stationer pumps and 14 other units are mobile pumps

East Jakarta Water Resources Sub-dept. Head, Mustajab stated that those pumps are sent to 10 sub-districts. 

"Of 36 pumps, 22 out of them are stationer pumps and 14 other units are mobile pumps. They are ready to be operated in the rainy season," he expressed, Tuesday (10/2).

Most stationary pumps and mobile pumps are alerted in the inundation-prone areas. Thus when the inundation occurs, the pump can be operated directly.

"East Jakarta 85 inundation-prone areas. We'll send them pump machines," he told.

In the field, there are also 500 freelancers in 10 s ub-districts. Every day they are often sweeping malfunctioned water channels.
