18 Reading Corners Provided During Asian Para Games

Around 18 reading corners have been set up during the 2018 Asian Para Games. They are spread in venues, athlete's homesteads, and hotels occupied by athletes.

These reading corners have been opened since on October 6-13

Service and Library Cooperation Section Head, Tiurma Saragih disclosed that 9 out of 18 reading corners are in Gelora Bung Karno (GBK) area.

"Two reading corners are in tennis indoor stadium, three reading corners are in Istora, two reading corners are in aquatic stadium, one reading corner is in basketball hall, and another one is in GBK," he expressed, Monday (10/8).

Especially in GBK area, there are is one unit in Jakarta International Velodrome, three units are in athlete's homestead, two units are in Best Western Kemayoran Hotel, one unit is in Grand Cempaka Hotel, one unit is in Sultan Hotel, and one unit is in Cikini Library.

"These reading corners have been opened since on October 6-13. The hotel visitors can also bring book collections to the room to read by leaving their ID card," he stated.

He added that it is very varied, ranging from sports, culinary, fashion, history and Jakarta culture, motivation, and traveling. In addition, a map of Jakarta is also provided.

"Besides Indonesian, we also provide English-language books here," he stated.
