DKI Kadin: Conducive Jakarta Economy During First Year of Anies Administration

It proves that investors feel secure to invest in Jakarta

DKI Indonesian Chamber of Commerce (Kadin) assessed, economy in Jakarta grows conducive in one year of Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan's administration.

According to him, within one year administration, Anies has conducted some innovations in creating conducive and passionate business climate. Thus investors do not hesitate to enter Jakarta.

DKI Kadin Vice Chairman, Sarman Simanjorang mentioned, investment value in Jakarta has reached Rp 72 trillion from target Rp 93.1 trillion by the end of last month.

"It proves that investors feel secure to invest in Jakarta. Moreover Jakarta Government has also formed Jakarta Investment Center (JIC)," he explained, Wednesday (10/17).

He mentioned, Jakarta economy grows 5.93 percent or increased by 2.15 percent in second quarter of 2018 than the last quarter. This growth rate is predicted can reach six percent by the end of this year following the successful Asian Games and Asian Para Games events.

"Jakarta Government plays a big role as a host in these two big international events," he added.

His side also appreciates Anies commitment in responding businessmen complaints. Anies responses it by enhancing various permit services through Jakarta Investment and One-Stop Integrated Service (PMPTSP) Dept.

"Jakarta as a city of business service needs policies that support business and entrepreneurship," he said.

He admits ready to be strategic partner and support Jakarta Government's policies and programs.

"We are ready to partner," he expressed.
