"We're socializing and training the people for disaster mitigation, including by involving the non-government organization (NGO). Thus they can be more alert and responsive," he expressed, Thursday (11/15).

He urges them to take part in mitigation training. It is because it will foster awareness and improve the ability of them to face the threat of disaster.

"It means like they will know what have to do when the disaster comes. We urge them to remain vigilant, as it is now entering the rainy season," he explained.

In this matter, the BPBD also continues to coordinate with the related SKPDs and regional heads.

"Together we execute the motto of the Governor, that is Ready, Response, and Support," he told.

"He added that BPBD is obliged to run the functions of coordination, command and implementation in accordance with the mandate of Act No. 24/2007 on Disaster Management.

"The citizens must also be able to work together in facing disasters," he said.
