Gradually, urban farming training continues to be held in all flats in Jakarta

Jakarta Maritime Agriculture and Food Tenacity (KPKP) Dept. gives urban farming development training to Komarudin Flat (Rusunawa) occupants, Cakung, East Jakarta.

In this training, competent speakers are invited to explain about urban farming materials such as independent food in flat, family's role in realizing environmental development function, and simple hydroponic plants cultivation.

Jakarta KPKP Dept. Head, Darjamuni stated, urban farming is contributed in making people to consume fresh, clean, and healthy vegetables.

"Gradually, urban farming training continues to be held in all flats in Jakarta," he said, Friday (11/23).

Komarudin UPRS Administration Section Head, Sarkim Sukaya conveyed, this urban farming development training is very helpful to increase flat occupants' motivation, insight, knowledge and experience.

"We want to do as good as possible in urban farming thus flat occupants can enjoy the harvest," he asserted.

For information, KPKP Dept. provides visual aid packages thus occupants can do simple hydroponic cultivation such as by using simple hydroponic plastic basin, hydroponic nutrition, vegetable seeds, and growing media rockwool.

Besides, KPKP Dept. also provides two hydroponic shelves and plants 182 productive trees such as avocado, star fruit, langsat (duku), gandaria, guava, cashew, santol, kemang, kokosan, mango, menteng, crystal guava, guava rose, wongi, and ginger.
