Jakarta Small Medium Enterprises Cooperative and Trade (KUKMP) Dept. inspects distributed goods in a market located in Cipinang, East Jakarta.
This inspection is focused to ensure goods to have Indonesian National Standard (SNI) labels.
SNI Monitoring in Shopping Centers IntensifiedJakarta KUKMP Dept.'s Monitoring and Controlling Division Head, Ety Syartika stated, various products are checked such as cooking oil, flour, beverage sachets, coffee sachets, and clothes.
"We deploy six personnel in this inspection. SNI is very important to ensure food/beverage safety, consumer's health, and environmental safety," he stated, Thursday (12/6).
She explained, food/beverage with SNI labels will make consumers to be more assured towards products that they bought. Besides, producers will have a sense of responsibility to maintain quality of their products.
"Through this monitoring, we want to ensure all products are labelled with SNI. We will give sanction to violators from initial warning up to revocation of distribution permit," she conveyed.
