Lands in Ciangir Keep being Developed

Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security (KPKP) Dept. continues to develop agricultural by using lands in Ciangir, Tangerang, Banten.

Jakarta KPKP Dept. Head, Darjamuni stated that 1 out of 2.5-hectare land is used to plant chili and already harvest several times.

"A variety of vegetables or other agricultural commodities will be planted on lands that have not been used," he expressed, Tuesday (12/18).

In addition to East Jakarta farmer groups (Poktan), his also empowers farmer groups around the site, starting from the pre-planting until harvest.

"We give house rental facilities there. We want them to collaborate and work together," he stated.

The dept. is about to hold further evaluation of this program, including efforts to minimize operational costs.

"Next year we will to make a guard house on the land so they don't need to rent anymore," he stated.
