DPRD Ratified the 2014 APBDP for Rp 72.905 Trillion

The 2014 City Budget Amendment (APBDP) is finally ratified by Jakarta Parliament (DPRD). The amount of budget approved is Rp 72.905 trillion.

Member of DPRD Budgetary Body (Banggar), Matnoor Tindoan, disclosed that the APBDP is dominated by capital contribution by government (PMP) in seven city-owned enterprises (BUMD) as much as Rp 9.308 trillion.

APBDP to Be Ratified in Late August

According to Tindoan, the nominal of the 2014 APBDP increases from its draft of Rp 72.9 trillion. The increase is Rp 905.36 billion or 1.26 percent. For that, DPRD hopes for Jakarta Provincial Government to take special attention on low budget absorption.

“The request for additional KJP (Jakarta Smart Card) budget needs to be re-evaluated considering Supreme Audit Agency (BPK)’s finding on the 2013 APBD in which KJP is one of the items that need special attention and improvement,” he uttered.

Meanwhile, Jakarta Governor Joko ‘Jokowi’ Widodo expressed his grateful to DPRD for ratifying the 2014 APBDP.

“Thank you. I appreciate DPRD’s thoroughness in the 2014 APBDP material substances and approval. Hopefully Jakarta Provincial Government could finish all superior programs. DPRD will also continuously monitor budget absorption. Their suggestions will be inputs for the executives,” he said.
