The Jakarta Health Department keeps campaigning on dengue fever prevention by cooperating with Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG).

Dengue is because of weather and climate factors

It will be realized by synchronizing data belongs to both parties as an early warning system and predicting an extraordinary situation (KLB) status. 

"Dengue is because of weather and climate factors," said Jakarta Health Department Head, Widyastuti, Monday (1/14).

She explained that BMKG could make modeling by comparing weather forecast data with disease case data in the capital, especially dengue.

"By so potential increase in dengue cases will be easily identified so we can take anticipatory steps," she uttered.

Based on her data, its case in 2018 showed a decrease or 27.80 percent compared to 2017 that reached 31.41 percent. 

"However, we still have to be vigilant," she asserted.
