Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan opened 2019 Junior NBA Asia Coaching Clinic at Ciracas Youth Sports Center (GOR), Jalan Raya Bogor, East Jakarta.

2019 Junior NBA Asia Coaching Clinic is a part of cooperation between Jakarta Government and Junior National Basketball Association (NBA) Asia.
This coaching clinic is held on January 22-24 and participated by Physical Education (PE) teachers who teach elementary schools, junior high schools, and senior high schools together with coaches from basketball clubs in Jakarta.
Sandi Opens Sport Teacher Training in Jr. NBA Academy"I welcome this coaching clinic. All participants come from coaches and PE teachers who train students in their daily," he said, Tuesday (1/22).
He hopes this event can be a good chance for participants to transfer their knowledge from this training to the students in schools and clubs.
"Focus in this training is not only about techniques but also interaction and communication. We hope our children can play at international level," he mentioned.
NBA Asia Representative, Jim Wing conveyed, this is the second training in Jakarta since 2018. Besides Indonesia, similar training is also run in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Vietnam, and Philippines.

For information, this opening was also attended by Jr. NBA Asia Coach, Carlos Barocca and Jade Kathleen Leitao; Jakarta Youth and Sports Department Head, Ratiyono; and East Jakarta Mayor, Muhammad Anwar.
