Basuki has instructed Head of Jakarta Education Department, Lasro Marbun to follow up such case as soon as possible. "This morning, I received a report over illegal levies case on print diplomas, ask for signature cost, for writing a diploma," he said, at City Hall, Friday (8/15).
According to him, the case happens in Jatinegara area, East Jakarta. "But I don't know its nominal. I immediately copy and forward the report to Mr. Lasro. I want you (Mr. Lasro) to follow up the case before you resign," he told.

According to him, civil servants have no right to appoint the position. Because of the prerogative right lies in the local head. "That's my right. Civil servants have no right in it. As for the position, its prerogative right lies in the local head," he exclaimed.
As known, Lasro was asked to resign from his post. Whereas, he has served as Head of Jakarta Education Department since February 2014.
