Tax Dept Designs Online System for Vehicle Tax Payment

To ease taxpayers in paying their obligations every year, Jakarta Provincial Government, together with City Police Traffic Directorate, plans to apply online tax system for motor vehicle tax payment. Thus, taxpayers can pay their vehicles tax at designated banks instead of having to come to Samsat office.

We’ve discussed this plan with officials in City Police Traffic Directorate and they agree. We’re currently designing the system for the extension of five-yearly STNK

Head of Jakarta Tax Services Department, Iwan Setiawandi, said his department is currently designing the system for the extension of five-yearly vehicle registration (STNK). The system is targeted to be implemented next month.

“We’ve discussed this plan with officials in City Police Traffic Directorate and they agree. We’re currently designing the system for the extension of five-yearly STNK,” he stated, Friday (8/15).

Refuse Online Tax Payment, Entrepreneurs’ Business Permits Will Be Revoked

According to Setiawandi, this system is made to prevent leakage in Regional Original Revenue (PAD) and to eradicate brokers. Other tax sectors which already applied online system are Land and Building Tax (PBB), entertainment tax, restaurant tax, parking tax, and hotel tax. Meanwhile, the banks that received tax payment are DKI Bank, BRI, BNI, BII, BCA, Mandiri, as well as post office.
