PT MRT to Modify TB Simatupang Crossing Bridge

PT MRT Jakarta is about to modify a crossing bridge (JPO) on Jalan TB Simatupang and Jakarta Outer Ring Road KM 22+000 on Sunday (2/3).

Modification is needed to accommodate wide targets per 3.5 meter lane

Jakarta PT MRT's Corporate Secretary Division Head, Muhamad Kamaluddin said that it is needed, as the road only has 4.3 meters width. After the MRT operates, the road would have two lanes with 7 meters width.

"Modification is needed to accommodate wide targets per 3.5 meter lane," he expressed, Thursday (1/31).

He stated that the bridge girder installation will be executed on February 3 at 10 PM-4 AM.

"The road on the south will be closed and traffic management will be applied at outer ring road toll road," he stated.

During the work, vehicle can use junction of Jalan Fatmawati - Jalan TB Simatupang, which is located around 400 meters from the bridge location. They can also use Jalan Lebak Bulus 1 as an alternative route to Lebak Bulus, Pondok Indah, or Ciputat.

"The bridge design consists of pc concrete (T-Beam) girder with a 24-meter-length span and is above the Jakarta Outer Ring Road Toll Road," he said.
