Pesanggrahan Puskesmas Prevents Dengue Fever by Providing Insecticides

Pesanggrahan Community Health Center (Puskesmas) provides 50 kilograms abate powder and 560 liters insecticide to anticipate dengue fever in South Jakarta.

Pesanggrahan Puskesmas Head, Anang Kuncoro Adi said to have 22 fogging machines and deployed personnel to suppress spread of aedes aegypti mosquitoes in the area.

His side is committed to follow up immediately all residents' reports regarding dengue fever in his area by sending his team to survey the location.

"We are ready to send our team to survey the location where the people infected by dengue virus live. This is to eliminate mosquito breeding areas (PSN) in particular radius," he mentioned.

According to data per Monday (1/28), there are 33 DBD cases in Pesanggrahan Sub-district. Thus he reminds all residents to be aware of dengue fever. Mostly, aedes aegypti mosquitoes are active around 9 AM-11 AM and 3 PM-5 PM.

"We suggest residents to use mosquito repellent lotion or wear long-sleeve shirts to prevent mosquito bites," he added.
