Food Inspection Held in Five Markets in Central Jakarta

Central Jakarta Maritime Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Sub-department held food inspection at Nangka Bungur Market, Gardu Asem Market, Serdang Market, Sumur Batu Market, and one supermarket on Jalan Cempaka Mas, Kemayoran.

Laboratory testing should be done to ensure whether the food contains of hazardous substances or not

Several food samples taken from those five locations were fruits, vegetables, seafood and livestock products. Then officers tested the samples in laboratory car at Nangka Bungur Market.

Food Security in Central Jakarta Targeted to Hit 95 Percent

"Laboratory testing should be done to ensure whether the food contains of hazardous substances or not. Soon, we will report the result to KPKP Department and mayor," stated Central Jakarta KPKP Sub-department's Food Security and Agriculture Section Head, Tuesday (2/12).

He conveyed, food inspection is done in traditional market, supermarket and coaching locations (Lokbin) to ensure those foods are safe to be consumed.
