Animal Slaughter Training Opened at Rawa Lele Poultry Slaughterhouse

Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security Agency cooperates with Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) to open animal slaughter training at Rawa Lele Poultry Slaughterhouse (RPHU), Kalideres, West Jakarta.

We want to tell and teach how to slaughter animal based on procedure

Training itself consists of seven stages by presenting highly competent instructors. It is targeted to be finished in the forthcoming May.

Here Are Rawa Lele Slaughterhouses Facilities

Jakarta Maritime, Agriculture, and Food Security Agency's Livestock Division Head, Sri Hartati said that the first stage of training dated on February 12-15 has 140 participants, with details 120 out of them are trained to slaughter poultry and 20 others are trained to slaughter cow or buffalo.

"We want to tell and teach how to slaughter animal based on procedure," he expressed, Wednesday (2/13).

Training materials given are theory and practice which includes religious aspects in animal slaughter, work management, sanitation hygiene, animal conditions, preparation of slaughter equipment, slaughter technique competency, and competency test.

"Every participant will get a certificate," he told.
