KUKMP Agency Does Metrology Equipment Test

Jakarta Cooperatives, Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises and Trade Agency (KUKMP) procures metrology equipment test this year. 

Hopefully the procurement contract can be executed in April and in September

It is generally a calibration tool for installation of kWh meters and gas meters, as well as its components such as kWh test bench meters, spare part sonic nozzle, rotary gas meter, portable three phase voltage and current source, portable small meter tester, portable working standard meter, handheld density meter, as well as water bath.

Jakarta KUKMP Agency's Metrology Technical Unit Head, Johan Taruma Jaya said that many metrology equipment tests are outdated and unsuitable for use anymore.

"The test equipment must be in good condition and precision. Moreover, currently the operation carried out by the agency has increased," he expressed, Friday (2/22).

Its procurement is carried out as one of the efforts to protect consumers.

"The total procurement budget is Rp 4.5 billion. Hopefully the procurement contract can be executed in April and in September," he hoped.

He added that the role of the Jakarta Metrology Technical Unit is much needed run calibration and reporting not only in Jakarta, but also national scale. Therefore, the devices for the Maritime, Agriculture and Food Security Agency calibration refer to world standards.

"Some equipments are very expensive and only made by certain companies," he said.
