I want all school components from teachers, students, and parents to be involved in improving education quality level

Today, Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan inaugurates Jakarta Education Department (Disdik) office and educational infrastructures and facilities. Those are 5 extraordinary schools (SLB), 71 elementary schools (SD), 16 junior high schools (SMP), 1 senior high school (SMA), 1 vocational school (SMK), 1 Learning Centers (PKBM), and dormitories for SMAN 69 of Pramuka Island and SMKN 63 of South Jakarta.

Anies appreciates all sides who have participated in this project and hopes teaching and learning activities can be better with the new provided facilities.

"School is the place where students build their characters and positive behaviors," he stated at SDN Pondok Labu 01, Jl. RS Fatmawati, Pondok Labu Urban Village, Cilandak, South Jakarta, Friday (3/8).

He reminds all Jakarta Disdik apparatuses to work optimally to provide good quality education and ensure children in Jakarta to complete their educational stages.

"I want all school components from teachers, students, and parents to be involved in improving education quality level," he mentioned.

Based on Budget Implementation Document (DPA) 2018 data, Jakarta Government has allocated Rp 1.8 trillion to do total renovation or build new school buildings and dormitory, then Rp 231.99 billion for Disdik office renovatio n.
