KPKP Department Plans to Build Integrated Animal Health Care in Ragunan

Jakarta Maritime Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Department is about to provide an integrated one-stop health care for animal by building two-story building on 1,500 meters land located on Jalan Harsono R.M., Ragunan, South Jakarta, as Animal Health Service Center (Pusyankes).

Jakarta KPKP Department's Animal Husbandry and Animal Health Service Center Head, Renova Ida Siahaan mentioned, Jakarta KPKP Department allocates Rp 17 billion to build Animal Pusyankes building.

"Our target is to start the construction in June. Currently, we are still processing the auction proposal," he said, Monday (4/1).

According to plan, this Animal Pusyankes will be equipped with various facilities such as office, clinic, animal diagnostic laboratory, observation house, rabies transmitting animal shelter, as well as treatment rooms for sick animals.

"We will use this laboratory for animal disease surveillance regardin g rabies, bird flu, brucellosis, and anthrax," she explained.
