West Jakarta Fire Handling and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-department forms Environmental Fire Resilience System (SKKL) in eight sub-districts of West Jakarta.

SKKL will train residents how to anticipate and handle fire

West Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-department Head, Abdul Cholik said, SKKL is formed to train the residents how to handle fire thus fire disaster could be prevented.

"SKKL will train residents how to anticipate and handle fire, then form the fire emergency team in each areas," he mentioned, Monday (4/8).

Meanwhile, West Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-department's Fire Prevention and Community Empowerment Section Head, Setyasih conveyed to form SKKL in eight settlement locations. Those are RW 10 Angke Urban Village, Tambora Sub-district; RW 04 Rawa Buaya Urban Village, Cengkareng Sub-district; RW 01 Slipi Urban Village, Palmerah Sub-district; RW 08 Kedoya Utara Urban Village, Kebon Jeruk Sub-district; RW 09 Semanan Urban Village, Kalideres Sub-district; RW 06 Jelambar Urban Village, Grogol Petamburan Sub-district; RW 06 Krukut Urban Village, Taman Sari Sub-districts; and RW 09 Kembangan Utara.

There are 40 people who are assigned in SKKL for each locations. She considered, SKKL is needed to anticipate fire and minimize the loss.

"We also check fire extinguisher (APAR) in every RWs and ensure it can be functioned optimally," he added.
