Jakarta Forestry Department is targeting to educate and train 800 junior high school and elementary students in Jakarta about gardening this year.

Jakarta Forestry Department's Community Participation Section Head, Yunitya Sari stated, her side cooperates with Gardening Community and Academy Floral Community to hold gardening training. Until now, her side has given training in four different places with total participant of 600 students. While the next gardening training is held on April 30 at Taman Apung TMB, Kelapa Dua Wetan Ciracas, East Jakarta.
"Training is given at Maju Bersama Park (TMB). First, we are targeting to give gardening training to schools that located near TMB," she mentioned, Saturday (4/13).
Training for Flat Residents will Be IntensifiedIn this training, students are taught about urban farming, environmental preservation, how to grow plants and arrange simple flower bouquet.
"We promote TMB to be an interaction space for students, especially whose schools are located near TMB," she said.
