RW 02 Rawasari Residents Expected to Implement 3R Concept

Waste should be reduced as early as possible, starts from household

Central Jakarta Environment (LH) Sub-department socializes RW 02 residents, Rawasari Urban Village, Cempaka Putih, about reducing the waste generated. It is held at Al-Furqon Mosque's Hall, RW 02, Rawasari Urban Village on Tuesday (4/23).

"Waste should be reduced as early as possible, starts from household," stated Mahpud, Central Jakarta LH Sub-department's Community Participation and Legal Arrangement Section Head on the location.

According to him, RW 02 is appointed as the pilot project for Regional Strategic Activities (KSD) of Kampung Iklim (Climate Village) Program. Through this socialization, his side expects RW 02 could realize Regional Regulation (Perda) No.3/2013 about Waste Management by implementing reduce, reuse, and recycle (3R) concept.

"We want them to encourage their neighbors to be more concern about environment and educate them about mechanism to reduce waste," he conveyed.

Musiyah, one of RW 02 residents expressed her readiness to implement 3R in her daily life and educate other residents how to manage household waste and waste in the settlement.

"Alhamdulillah, most of us are quite aware of environmental issues. Through this program, we hope to be better in maintaining our environment," she mentioned.
