Psychosocial Team Holds Entrepreneurship Training in Palu

The Jakarta Psychosocial Team held entrepreneurship training for 25 earthquake and tsunami victims, especially for housewives in Buluri Urban Village, Ulujadi Sub-district, Palu, Central Sulawesi.

We provide all processed ingredients to them

They were taught how to make Jasuke (corn, milk, cheese); corn pudding; and chocolate cornflakes.

One of the mentors under Jakarta Psychosocial Team, Balika Alexdial said that those menus were chosen, as its ingredients were readily available and cheap.

Sigi Regent Appreciates City's Support

“We provide all processed ingredients to them,” she stated, Tuesday (4/23).

By selling Jasuke, they could increase family income by selling Jasuke with small cup at Rp 5,000, large cup Rp 15,000, and cornflake per jar Rp 60,000 containing 20 pieces.

Jakarta Regional Disaster Mitigation (BPBD)’s Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Section Head, Joko Indro uttered that it was an effort to fix the people’s economy. 

Marketing could be done independently or facilitated by the local government. Principally, we want the economy and welfare of the victims to continue to improve.

Aside that one of participants, Maya (30) admitted that it was the first time she trained to make Jasuke, corn pudding, and chocolate cornflakes.

“It opens the way for entrepreneurship. Hopefully I can sell to help husbands meet family needs,” she hoped.
