Thousand Islands Water Resources (SDA) Sub-department builds a 100-meter connecting channel in front of Arsa Park at RT 01 RW 01, Untung Jawa Island Urban Village, South Thousand Islands. This channel will be connected with infiltration well.

We are targeting it to complete in early May

Thousand Islands SDA Sub-deparment Head, Ahmad Saiful said, his side deploys 22 PJPL personnel to build the connecting channel.

"Construction has been started since April 18. We are targeting it to complete in early May," he stated, Monday (4/29).

This connecting channel uses 6-inch PVC pipes. Each 8-meter long of the pipe will be installed with manhole.

"Currently, we have built 24 manholes that connected with between channel's pipes. We hope this channel can prevent inundation on the road when rain falls," he conveyed.
