North Jakarta and Thousand Islands Fire Handling and Rescue (Gulkarmat) Sub-department gives fire socialization and simulation to 40 residents of RW 03 Sebira Island, Harapan Island Urban Village, North Thousand Islands.

North Jakarta and Thousand Islands Gulkarmat Sub-department Head, Satriadi Gunawan said, residents are trained to prevent fire and extinguish it in traditional and modern ways.

"We hope it can help them to be more prepared in handling fire," he stated Thursday (5/2).

RW 03 Harapan Island Urban Village Head, Ali Kurniawan expressed his gratitude for Gulkarmat team who is willingly to teach them who live on the farthest island of Jakarta about fire handling.

"Hopefully we can be more aware of the dangers of fire," he stated.
