UGM Postgraduate Students Visit JSC for Study

Gajah Mada University (UGM) postgraduate students from Faculty of Engineering, Urban Area Planning Study Program, Faculty of Social Science and Political Science (Fisipol) for Public Policy Study Program, visited Jakarta Smart City (JSC) Lounge at City Hall, Thursday (5/2).

Jakarta Smart City is planned to be the center of innovation

UGM Engineering and Fisipol Faculties Lecturer, Achmad Djunaedi stated, JSC is developing since 2015. It is now full of innovation, advanced, and faster.

"Jakarta Smart City is planned to be the center of innovation. All things related to it will be evolved because of the power of information technology," he said.

Yogyakarta Diskominfo Wants to Learn from Jakarta Smart City

He wants UGM postgraduate students to learn and practice from JSC because in this semester, Public Administration Master students have subject about Smart City Development and Smart City subject for Urban Area Planning Master students.

"Some of our students have an idea to use DKI as their research object. I think it is great for students to learn from the practices," he conveyed.

Jakarta Communication Informatics and Statistics (Kominfotik) Department Head, Atika Nur Rahmania mentioned, it is a part of their study to see the JSC's implementation and innovations in the future.

"We are very open. Surely, you can study about JSC for your thesis," she expressed.
