Jakarta Cooperative, Small-Medium Enterprises, and Trade (KUKMP) Department held a meeting with Thousand Islands Regency to discuss about street vendors (PKL)s arrangement on Friday (5/10).

I support KUKMP Department's plan to arrange PKLs in Thousand Islands

"First, I need ideas and inputs from regency thus we can formulate concept and regulation to arrange PKLs," stated Adi Adiantara, Jakarta KUKMP Department Head.

He assessed, Thousand Islands area is quite different with the other five Jakarta regions. Thus it needs special concept to arrange PKLs but it needs to be more humane and develops business of small traders.

Thousand Islands Regent, Husein Murad said that PKL arrangement is important to be done moreover since Thousand Islands is appointed as one of the National Tourism Strategic Areas (KSPN).

"I support KUKMP Department's plan to arrange PKLs in Thousand Islands. Indeed, this plan should adjust regional characteristics thus it can give positive impacts, especially to local's economy," he stated .
