May 15-27, City to Provide Iftar Packages for 242 RTs in Jakarta

Jakarta Provincial Government collaborates with Jakarta Baznas Bazis, Aksi Cepat Tanggap (ACT) Foundation, Dompet Dhuafa Republika (DDR) Foundation, and Rumah Zakat Foundation to provide iftar for 242 RTs in Jakarta.

Our plan is to provide 100 iftar packages per RT within 5 days, from May 15-27, 2019

Regarding to this plan, five mayors of Jakarta regions and Thousand Islands Regent, Jakarta Baznas Bazis Head, ACT Foundation Vice President, DDR Foundation Head and Secretary, and Rumah Zakat Foundation Chief Marketing Officer met at City Hall on Tuesday (5/14) to sign a cooperative agreement.

"We invite all Jakartans to join us donating iftar packages for our brothers and sisters who are in need," said Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan after witnessed the signing event.

City Calls for Boat Safety During Homecoming Season

He assessed, three social foundations that collaborate with Jakarta Government are reliable. They have track record in social activities and has trustworthy financial accountability.

"Our plan is to provide 100 iftar packages per RT within 5 days, from May 15-27, 2019. Each package costs Rp 25,000. Jakarta Baznas Bazis gives assistance as much as Rp 1 billion," he mentioned.

 

Meanwhile, ACT Foundation provides iftar packages for 28 RTs in East Jakarta, 50 RTs in North Jakarta, and 4 RTs in Panggang Island, Thousand Islands. Next, DDR Foundation provides iftar packages for 72 RTs in West Jakarta and 4 RTs in Pari Island, Thousand Island.

Then, Rumah Zakat Foundation provides iftar packages for 30 RTs in South Jakarta, 48 RTs in Central Jakarta, and 6 RTs in Kelapa Island, Thousand Islands.

"We also require them to provide booth to collect donation goods from citizens such as rice, kitchen spices, vegetables, and others to support this iftar event," he conveyed.
