Jakarta Council (DPRD) Commission C Head, Santoso expects Jakarta Government to increase city revenue from tax sector by improving parking management.

He informed, City revenue from parking tax is more than Rp 600 billion per year. Thus he considered if related department can be serious in managing parking then city revenue from parking tax can be more optimized.

"Better parking management can increase City revenue, improve public service quality, and reduce traffic congestion," he mentioned, Wednesday (5/15).

According to him, government should improve its management in zoning parking system by auditing the monitoring system towards taxpayers, controlling illegal on-street parking through further cooperation with private parking organizers to do spot checking on the field.

"Besides, they can also review off-street parking fare to support indoor parking investment," he asserted.
