SDA Personnel Begins to Clean Semongol Channel Today

Today, West Jakarta Water Resources (SDA) Sub-department personnel clean up Semongol channel from mud sedimentation on Jalan Benda Raya, Kamal Urban Village, Kalideres.

"We deploy 90 personnel to dredge mud sedimentation from the channel thus water can flow smoothly to Semongol River and inundation can be avoided," explained Kalideres SDA Unit Head, Agus P., Saturday (5/25).

This channel has 100 meters long, 1.5 meters wide, and 1.5 meters deep. It is clogged with mud sedimentation as thick as 90 centimeters. This cleaning is targeted to finish in next few days.

"This channel is located under Jalan Benda Raya thus when it is clogged, water can inundate the settlements in here," he mentioned.
