Pilgrims Flock Tegal Alur Public Cemetery

Tegal Alur Public Cemetery (TPU) was crowded with people who visit graves of their beloved ones after conducted Eid prayer.

We have tradition to visit our parents' graves in Eid

A visitor named Yuli (40), Kebon Jeruk resident said she is routinely visiting her parents' graves with her family every Eid holiday.

"My sister and I live far one to another, but we have tradition to visit our parents' graves in Eid," she mentioned, Wednesday (6/5).

Meanwhile, there are also many street vendors on the location who sell flowers, rose water, and other things that are needed to visit graves.

Ayu (51), Kampung Kebon resident, Kamal Urban Village, Kalideres mentioned that she only sells flowers and rose water on Eid holidays in this public cemetery.

"I can earn profit about 2-3 times from my initial capital from selling flower and rose water during eid holidays in this area," she said.
