Reading Children's Day to See North Jakarta on July 24-25

The North Jakarta Library and Archives Sub-agency plans to hold the Jakarta Reading Children's Day (Hanjaba) on July 24-26 by involving 650 children. 

For final event, will be held at D'Arcici Plumpang Hotel on June 26

The event that will take theme "Literacy Smart From Coastal Jakarta" will be staged at the office of the North Jakarta Library and Archives Sub-agency.

"For final event, will be held at D'Arcici Plumpang Hotel on June 26. The winners of the coloring competition, poetry reading, story telling and English speech will represent us at the provincial level," disclosed North Jakarta Library and Archives Sub-agency Head, Jeje Nurjaman, Thursday (6/13).

Even drawing competition will also be held for elementary school students for 1st-3rd grades, as well as making posters for the junior high school and news presenters for the senior high school on equal terms.

It is targeted to absorb 200 children to participate in coloring competition, 150 children in drawing competition, 50 children in story telling competition, 50 children in poetry reading competition, 100 children in making poster competition, 50 children in English speech competition, and 50 children in news presenter competition. 

The winner will get educational savings prizes, trophies and certificates.

"Hopefully it can increase children's reading interest," he hoped.
