6th Former Vice President Appreciates Tax Exemption for Veterans

This policy is very worth appreciated, so I thank you and give my high appreciation

Former vice president Try Sutrisno appreciates and welcomes the Jakarta Provincial Government's policy, which exempts payment for urban and rural land and building tax (PBB-P2).

It is listed in Gubernatorial Regulation No. 42/2019 that says it applies to teachers, veterans, independence pioneers, and national heroes, recipient of honors, former president and vice president, as well as former governor and vice governor.

"This policy is very worth appreciated, so I thank you and give my high appreciation," expressed Sutrisno, when he received the tax object notification letters (SPPT) from Jakarta Retribution and Regional Tax Agency at Defense Minister Guesthouse, Jalan Imam Bonjol, Menteng, Central Jakarta, Wednesday (6/19).

According to him, this is a manifestation of the government's appreciation, especially Jakarta towards the Indonesian freedom fighters.

"Alhamdulillah this service is not only for me personally but also veterans. They (veterans) are fighters, this independent state is not a gift from invaders, but we take it," he stressed.

Jakarta Tax and Regional Retribution Agency (BPRD) Head, Faisal Syafruddin expressed that it is a form of appreciation from the city government to heroes and veterans.

"This policy has been stated in Gubernatorial Regulation No. 42/2019, surely their services for our country are invaluable," he said.
