Taman Suropati Chamber Community Founder, Agustinus Esthi Sugeng Dwiharso said that the community is born from a sense of concern for children who do not know the national song.

"And then I think there must be a place to gather all of this," he expressed, Monday (7/8). 

He decided to establish this community when he had the opportunity to make a workshop on keroncong music in the Netherlands in 2006. There are many parks used as art venues for various musical instruments such as trumpets and so on.

"Then I believe that it could also be realized in Indonesia in open spaces," he stated.r 

In 2007, his community ventured to open violin musical instrument training in Taman Suropati using the concepts of recreation and education.

"In May 2007, I had four members only and then reached 150 members. But its number decreased up to 50 members until now," he explained.

To join training, every person can only pay Rp 250,000 plus registration by Rp 300,000. It is used for paying instructors and concert equipments such as generators, sound systems, tarps and so on.

"We'll train our students how to swipe, the accuracy of beats, get to know notation, etc. We open every Sunday at 11 AM-2 PM," he said.
