Transjakarta Extends Two Bus Routes to Universitas Indonesia Campus

PT. Transportasi Jakarta (Transjakarta) will provide free transportation service for Lebak Bulus-UI and Manggarai-UI routes. These routes will also enter Universitas Indonesia (UI) area to serve passengers in there according to Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed by PT. Transjakarta and Universitas Indonesia.

Starting August, we will extend those routes to UI campus

"Starting August, we will extend those routes to UI campus while also providing public transportation service in there. It is free for passengers who use our service inside of UI area," stated Agung Wicaksono, Transjakarta President Director, Tuesday (7/9).

He mentioned that his side will evaluate bus operational for these routes continuously thus his side can give optimal service in providing public transportation in UI area.

His side also plans to add more routes to UI, such as Kampung Rambutan-UI via Lenteng Agung, Kampung Rambutan-UI via Bogor, and Margonda-UI.

"I have informed Jakarta Transportation Department about our plans. We are now waiting for their permission regarding this plan. Hopefully, this new service can increase Transjakarta customers and facilitate more people to use public transportation," he explained.
