Immigrants Stay on Jalan Kebon Sirih, Central Jakarta Meets UNHCR Indonesia

Central Jakarta Vice Mayor, Irwandi together with his officials visit United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Indonesia held a meeting at UNHCR Indonesia office, 14th floor of Menara Ravindo, Jalan Kebon Sirih Kavling 75, Menteng.

"We visit UNHCR representative office in Kebon Sirih for meeting. We learn that UNHCR Indonesia is still negotiating with them for relocation," he conveyed, Tuesday (7/9).

For information, there are 157 immigrants from from Afghanistan, Somalia, and Syria who are staying on the sidewalk of Jalan Kebon Sirih. Half of them are children.

"We have deployed pers onnel to monitor the area and manage the traffic flow to prevent congestion," he asserted.
