Legal awareness family education is socialized to 50 RT/RW representatives at the Untung Jawa Island Urban Village Office, South Thousand Islands.

Socialized materials are Law No. 21/2007 on Eradication of Trafficking in Persons and No. 11/2008 on Information and Electronic Transaction.

"Before the case happens, we anticipate it first through this education," disclosed Thousand Islands Legal, Management and Personnel Section Head, Hendri Sembiring, Wednesday (7/17).

Through this education, locals will be more legal aware and avoid violations in the future.

Untung Jawa Island Urban Village Head, Supryiadi hoped that his region could be free from hoax and trafficking in persons cases.

"With a good level of awareness, I hope that a culture of awareness and obedience to law and human rights can be implemented well," he hoped.
