Jakarta Government invites all Jakartans to attend Lebaran Betawi at Monas, Gambir, Central Jakarta this weekend.
Central Jakarta Sub-districts Asked to Make Lebaran Betawi Lively
"Be sure to come and enjoy Lebaran Betawi at Monas on July 19-21. Don't miss it," expressed Saefullah, Jakarta Secretary at City Hall, Thursday (7/18).
He explained, this event will be started at 7 AM and enlivened with Lenong Betawi, Palang Pintu performance, Rebana Biang, Layar Tancep, Sorendo-rendo, Tanjidor, and Ondel-Ondel.
This year, Lebaran Betawi raises theme 'Dengan Budaye, Kita Perkokoh Persatuan dan Kesatuan Indonesia' with the hope Jakarta's indigenous culture, Betawi, to continue existing in the future.
"We should be proud of our original culture," he expressed.
