Anies Inaugurates Rorotan GOR and Cengkareng Youth Center

Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan officially inaugurates Rorotan Sports Center (GOR) and also symbolically inaugurates Cengkareng Sub-district Youth Center at Rorotan Sports Center, North Jakarta, Monday (7/29) afternoon.

We expect this GOR to produce new talented athletes

Both sport facilities are equipped with international-standard sport facilities for badminton, basketball, soccer, and futsal sports. These facilities are the continuation of sub-district youth center and other sport facilities revitalization program under Jakarta Government. Later, Jakarta Youth and Sport Department (Dispora) will manage these sport facilities. He hopes everyone can use it for sports and others activities, especially locals.

"We expect this GOR to produce new talented athletes and hopefully this place is not only used for sport but also to build social interaction between the locals," he mentioned, Monday (7/29).

Rorotan GOR Construction Reaches 98 Percent

For information, government uses using mechanism for utilizing exceeding funds from Building Floor Coefficients (KLB) funds of PT. Putera Gaya Wahana (Rorotan GOR) and PT. Suryaraya Investama (Cengkareng Sub-district Youth Center).

PT. Putera Gaya Wahana builds Rorotan GOR on 2.2 hectares land owned by Jakarta Government. It uses budget Rp 34 billion to build it within 8 months, starts from November 2018 to July 2019. Rorotan GOR has facilitates such as:

Sport Facilities :

- Sport center building as wide as 1,200 square meters and equipped with facilities for Badminton, Basketball, Volley, and Indoor Futsal.

- International standard artificial turf soccer field

- Outdoor Tennis Court ITF Standard Classified Court Pace 3

- Fitness Outdoor 

- Jogging Track

Other Supporting Facilities:

- Access for disabled people

- Special toilet for disabled people

- Parking area for 40 cars and 70 motorcycles

- Capacity for 300 seats

- Artificial Lake

Meanwhile, PT. Suryaraya Investama builds Cengkareng Sub-district Youth Center above 5,000 square meters land owned by Jakarta Government with budget around Rp 20 billion. It is built within 7 months from October 2018 until May 2019.

It has sport facilities such as:

 

- Two-story building as wide as 2,000 square meters for Badminton, Basketball, Volley, and Indoor Futsal sports

- Jogging Track 

 

And supporting facilities: 

- Multipurpose room as wide as 800 square meters

- Access for disabled people

- Special toilet for disabled people

- Parking area for 40 cars and 70 motorcycles

- Capacity for 300 seats

In the future, Jakarta Government plans to cooperate with local start up company to provide application to book these facilities and people from all ages can also use these sport facilities for free.
