"It has excellent quality. One chili plant can produce around 1 kilogram in average," he expressed.
According to him, this moment can be used by Jakarta Government to maintain chili price stability. He encourages Jakarta Maritime Agriculture and Food Security (KPKP) Department to use this land to plant and harvest chili in order to anticipate inflation.
"As we know that chili price is easily to fluctuate and it has potential to cause inflation. We hope Perumda Pasar Jaya can buy chili from our yields thus they don't need to find other areas to supply chili," he stated.
For information, Perumda Pasar Jaya will buy all yields on that day to add curly red chili supply in Jakarta. Besides, Saefullah also plans to expand and develop the farm.
Jakarta KPKP Department Head, Darjamuni conveyed, his side will take samples of the harvested chilies to ensure its quality.
"Mr. Saefullah asked me to develop chili that has excellent quality. Later we will cooperate with Pasar Jaya to continue this farming, especially for shallot and chili," he explained.
His side also wants to optimize farm in Ciangir by preparing guardhouse called Bale Ciangir, which is equipped with bedroom, bathroom, desk and kitchen.
Perumda Pasar Jaya President Director, Arief Nasrudin mentioned, harvested chilies have excellent quality and it is proper to be sold in market.
"I hope KPKP Department can add its production since demand for chili in Jakarta reaches 120 tons per day," he asserted.
