After performing Eid al-Adha prayers at City Hall, Central Jakarta, Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan visited Babul Khoeirot Mushala on Jalan Lebak Bulus V, RT 06/04, Cilandak Barat, South Jakarta to slaughter his sacrificial animal.
City Performs Eid al-Adha Prayers and Continued with Qurban SlaughteringIn this chance, his side gave limousin cattle with weight 1.2 tons to mushala caretakers to be slaughtered for Eid al-Adha.
"If possible, I want to slaughter my sacrificial animal by myself. I have done this routinely from my second year in senior high school until this year," he said, Sunday (8/11).
After slaughtering his sacrificial animal, residents also asked him to slaughter another qurban animal at Dharul Ichsan Mosque, RT 14/04 Cilandak Barat.
"Those meat will be packed in bamboo baskets and distributed for those in needs. Not only healthier, using bamboo basket can also reduce plastic bags use," he explained.
