Odd-Even Policy Trial on First Day in East Jakarta Goes Smoothly

150 joint officers have been deployed to manage traffic flow at some points

The first day of the expanded odd-even traffic policy trial in East Jakarta area goes smoothly. Vehicle speed average is 30-40 km per hour.

City Expands Odd-Even System in 16 Routes

"150 joint officers have been deployed to manage traffic flow at some points," expressed East Jakarta Transportation Sub-agency Traffic Section Head, Andresa Eman, Monday (8/12).

They are alerted in a number of intersections along Jalan DI Panjaitan and Jalan Ahmad Yani, starting from Jalan Perintis Kemerdekaan, Jalan H. Ten Intersection, Jalan Pemuda Intersection, Jalan Rawamangun Muka Selatan Intersection, Jalan Basuki Rahmat Intersection, Jalan Otista III, Jalan Raya Inspeksi Kalimalang and Halim Lama Intersection.

On the field, they are also seen distributing 500 flyers regarding socialization.

During this policy, the traffic sign placement will be adjusted with the current condition.

"For instance, the no u turn sign at the intersection of Jalan Pemuda - Jalan Ahmad Yani will be revoked," he stated.
