Jakarta Provincial Government held flag ceremony to commemorate Indonesia's 74th Independence Day at Pantai Maju, North Jakarta, Saturday (8/17) by raising theme 'Excellent Human Resources, Indonesia Advancing'. In this ceremony, Jakarta Governor, Anies Baswedan acted as ceremony inspector while Jakarta Council (DPRD) Chairman, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi acted as reader of Indonesian Independence Proclamation script.

He encourages all components of Jakartans to continue building synergy with Jakarta Government in order to enhance human resources quality, competitiveness, and Jakarta's potentials through its strategic programs.

"We are holding flag ceremony in this land, Pantai Maju, the reclaimed islet. In this chance, we want to deliver message to you all, that the island is not a private property. It is owned by Republic of Indonesia. It is our land and we want to ensure our flag is raising on this land. Let's fill this independence with real effort in realizing independence, strengthening unity and integrity, enhancing personal qualities and competitiveness. Thus Jakartans can be a competitive and advanced citizens in the global," he explained as quoted from Jakarta PPID Press Conference.
He reminded all components of Jakartans to collaborate with Jakarta Government to continue developing Indonesia, especially Jakarta, according to their skill and knowledge.
"We need to create new ideas and innovations for the great future of Indonesia and Jakarta. This year, we want to deliver a message to all, that sovereignty in Jakarta. We should maintain it and give high appreciation to our warriors. To all civil apparatuses, let's continue to struggle," he conveyed.
At the same place, he also gave reward symbolically to 5 outstanding civil apparatuses (PNS):
1. Agung Pujo Winarko, S.Si, M.Si : Jakarta Environment Department;
2. Ahmad Ghiffari M.Se., MBA : Regional-Owned Enterprises Development Agency;
3. Irfan SH, MM : Jakarta Asset Management Agency;
4. Andrie Yuswanto S.Kom : Jakarta Communication Information and Statistics Department;
5. Ns. Sri Rahayu S.Kep : Pasar Rebo Puskesmas, East Jakarta - Jakarta Health Department.
Next, his side also appreciated local government agencies which received award from Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform Ministry at the Top 99 Public Service Innovation 2019 category in National Level Public Service Innovation Competition 2019:
1. Jakarta Population and Civil Registration (Cipedak Population Administration Service and Civil Registration Unit) for their innovation in making Si Mas Gesit Application;
2. Jakarta Regional Disaster Management Agency, for their innovation of Emergency Call 112
This ceremony was also attended by Jakarta Secretary, Saefullah; Jakarta Council (DPRD) members and vice chairmen; city officials; Regional-Owned Enterprises (BUMD) executive boards; TP PKK Head, Fery Farhati Ganis; Dharma Wanita Persatuan DKI Jakarta members; Regional Leadership Coordination Forum Members, Veterans Legion Members, and the Elders and Indonesian Independence Fighters.
