Vocational Graduates Enthusiastic to Find a Job at Job Matching 2019

It gives us a big opportunity to get a job

Vocational school (SMK) graduates are enthusiastic in finding a job at Job Matching event held on 5th floor of Jakarta Education Department (Disdik) office building, Jalan Jenderal Gatot Subroto, Setiabudi, South Jakarta.

One of the job seekers, Putra Alrasyid who is graduated from SMK Negeri 32 South Jakarta, majoring in hospitality stated, this Job Matching event facilitates SMK graduates to find a job.

"It gives us a big opportunity to get a job. I really appreciate it," he expressed happily, Monday (8/19).

His side brings about 12 job application letters and hopes to get the best job in this job fair based on his skills.

"I hope similar event can be held more often. Because every year, there are many fresh graduate who need a job," he mentioned.

Other job seekers, Fitri Meliani who graduated from SMK Negeri 48, majoring in marketing, also has a similar opinion.

"We want to be easier to get a job. I hope government can hold similar event routinely thus SMK graduates can have bigger opportunities to get a job," she said.

Meanwhile, Jakarta Education Department Head, Ratiyono mentioned, Job Matching which is held on August 19-20, 2019 is not an ordinary job fair, but it helps to facilitate companies and industries to meet with SMK graduates.

"We will evaluate it continuously. Hopefully it can facilitate both sides," he added.

According to him, Job Matching 2019 provides 5,000 job vacancies from total 70 companies. It increases from last year with total 4,000 job vacancies.

"Purpose of Job Matching is to facilitate industries to absorb more SMK graduates. We are targeting to fill at least 80 percent of total job opportunities," he mentioned.
